Principles of Street Rodding II

Learn the principles of building a safe street rod. Whether you are a beginner or someone with experience looking for ideas, this is the class for you. A 1939 Chevy Coupe and a 1931 Model A Ford Coupe will be used for demonstration. Information covered in this class will include how to select the right project (what to look for and what to avoid), the paperwork involved from taxes to titles and certificates of origin, chassis and suspension options and selections, engine and transmission choices, selecting the right brakes and wheel/tire combinations. This class will also focus on the body of the car with hands-on instruction. Participants should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and should bring safety glasses and welding glasses or hood. This course is designed for those 16 years of age and older. (Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.) Register for one or both sections—each section will provide new hands-on experiences.
Barre Basics

Barre is a low-impact workout that will have you sweating and toning your entire body. Barre fitness is a hybrid workout class - combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga, and strength training. Barre also focuses on high reps of small range movements. Please bring a yoga mat, towel, and water.
Artistic Welding Workshop

The Artistic Welding Workshop is designed to inspire non-traditional welders interested in a welding career and engage them with hands-on experience.

When it’s time for lunch, choose between two local favorites: Doe’s Eat Place, known for hearty Southern classics and famous steaks, or Broussard’s Cajun Cuisine, serving up spicy Louisiana-style dishes with plenty of flavor and flair. Afterward, browse the galleries and artisan studios in the Lower Town Arts District, or relax with a frozen treat at Craving the Curls.
Before you head home, treat yourself to something sweet from Kirchhoff’s Bakery, a Paducah institution since 1873. Their fresh-baked pastries, cookies, and breads are the perfect way to end your day on a delicious note.
With scenic views, friendly locals, and plenty of creative energy, Paducah offers a refreshing getaway packed with inspiration, culture, and a little Southern charm.

Discover how to use the menu system and toolbars; open, reopen, print, save and close documents; insert/delete text, reverse an edit operation, apply font attributes to text, and move text blocks. Be trained on how to use Spelling/Grammar Checker, Thesaurus, the Help menu, and how to customize the AutoCorrect Dictionary.
Fun With Acrylics

Try your hand at painting while having fun! Not creative? Never painted before? That’s okay! No painting or drawing experience needed. The instructor will guide you step-by-step to create your own masterpiece to take home. You will be painting with acrylics on a stretched canvas. All supplies are provided.
