Begin in the historic Cherokee neighborhood with a stop at El Chico’s Bakery, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Mexican pastry. Continue to Benton Park for a handmade pretzel at the beloved Gus’s Pretzels before heading to Midtown for a mouthwatering lunch at Pappy’s Smokehouse.
This afternoon, explore The Hill, St. Louis’ renowned Italian neighborhood. Visit a local Italian market to sample specialty cheeses and pepperoni, and receive a goody bag filled with treats to enjoy later.
End your day in the Tower Grove neighborhood with a visit to Ices Plain ’n Fancy. Watch as your delicious ice cream creation is made right before your eyes using liquid nitrogen for a one-of-a-kind frozen treat.
From savory favorites to sweet treats, this tour offers a delicious taste of St. Louis’ neighborhoods, traditions, and local character.

Join us for Paint Like Bob Ross with Brad Mullins, a Certified Ross Instructor who has been sharing the joy of painting with people all across Illinois and Indiana.Brad trained with Bob Ross Incorporated to learn the techniques behind Bob Ross' iconic landscapes, and now he loves helping others discover that anyone can paint. Whether you're a complete beginner or you've painted before, Brad will guide you through the process step by step. Best of all, all of the Bob Ross painting supplies are provided, so you can simply come ready to have fun.

Then, you'll create your own batch of elegant bon bons from start to finish. Leave with a box of handcrafted chocolates that taste like a gourmet version of a classic peanut butter cup—perfect for sharing or savoring yourself!

Principles of Street Rodding II

Learn the principles of building a safe street rod. Whether you are a beginner or someone with experience looking for ideas, this is the class for you. A 1939 Chevy Coupe and a 1931 Model A Ford Coupe will be used for demonstration. Information covered in this class will include how to select the right project (what to look for and what to avoid), the paperwork involved from taxes to titles and certificates of origin, chassis and suspension options and selections, engine and transmission choices, selecting the right brakes and wheel/tire combinations. This class will also focus on the body of the car with hands-on instruction. Participants should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and should bring safety glasses and welding glasses or hood. This course is designed for those 16 years of age and older. (Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.) Register for one or both sections—each section will provide new hands-on experiences.

Led by RLC alumna Cydni Wrobel, this hands-on workshop introduces participants to the art of welding while they create a beautiful piece of art to take home. Designed to inspire non-traditional welders and spark interest in welding careers, the Artistic Welding Workshop offers an engaging introduction to the craft.
Participants will be able to choose between creating a rose or a pumpkin during the session.
Class is located in the RLC Welding Lab.
