CTE Camp - Trucking & Welding

At this camp, you'll gain real-world experience and technical skills, working alongside industry professionals who are dedicated to helping you succeed. Whether you're interested in hitting the open road as a truck driver, or learning to weld for construction or manufacturing jobs, we have you covered. Please wear closed toe shoes. Safety glasses will be provided.
LEGO Minecrafting World

Ages: 6 - 13
Explore the challenging world of Minecraft by using LEGO® Bricks to build some of the popular game figures, construct motorized LEGO® models, 3D, and mosaic builds inspired by the game. Campers will be given new challenges each day to craft elements in the game to build upon their gaming/coding skills too. They will also build and take home a personalized LEGO® mini figure.

LEGO Robotics 101
with Diane Fefferman
Ages: 8 - 13
Students will build LEGO® creations from WeDo® Education, turning them into a robot, programmed to do exactly what they tell it to do. Robotics 101 uses drag and drop icon-based programming and offers an introduction into the fun of building with LEGO® Bricks. Additionally, the students will face the challenge of computer programming some pretty awesome robots that will equip them to succeed in a technology-based marketplace. They will also have fun playing camp style games and a few LEGO® building challenges. Get your student ready for a fun, action-packed week that combines real-life skills with real-kid fun! Bertie Ham's Chefs of Tomorrow

Ages: 9 - 13
Each day is a new culinary adventure as campers learn the basics of cooking safely. Campers will learn how to cook lunch for themselves and maybe even surprise others with their cooking skills! Campers will be taking home samples of their creations. Bertie Ham was well known for her love and passion for education, cooking and children. Bertie Ham’s Chefs of Tomorrow is being sponsored in Bertie’s memory, by her family and friends. Each camper will receive some of Bertie’s famous recipes.
