Artistic Welding Workshop
with Cydni Wrobel
Led by RLC alumna Cydni Wrobel, this hands-on workshop introduces participants to the art of welding while they create a beautiful welded rose to take home. Designed to inspire non-traditional welders and spark interest in welding careers, the Artistic Welding Workshop offers an engaging introduction to the craft.
Participants who enjoy the introductory session will have the opportunity to build on their skills in an intermediate workshop offered later in the season.

Job Search Party Employer Registration

Rend Lake College, along with Withers Broadcasting and WSIL TV3, will host the annual Job Search Party at the Rend Lake College Event Center on the Ina campus Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 10:00a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
This event is open to businesses actively seeking employees. It is designed to provide employers with the opportunity to discuss job and/or career opportunities with RLC students and graduates, as well as the general public. Participants will be encouraged to bring resumes.
There is no registration fee. The college will provide tables and chairs, and electrical access (if requested). Your table will be ready for you at 8:30 a.m. Please be prepared to greet jobseekers by 10:00 a.m. The event has been publicized to run from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., so we ask that you remain for the duration of the event in order to accommodate job seekers arriving later. A hospitality room will be available to registered employers; We will provide more information after registration.
Barn Quilt Basics
with Charlotte Loss
Students will learn how to draw, tape, and paint their chosen quilt pattern on a 10" wood square. The student will choose their pattern based on difficulty level. Your barn quilt will be finished and ready to hang at the end of the class.
$15 (Plus a $20 supply fee)

DIY Spring Doormat

Welcome spring with creativity and color at our DIY Spring Doormat Workshop! Shake off the winter blues and design your very own cheerful doormat bursting with blooms, sunshine, and personality. Bring a friend or come solo for an afternoon of creativity, laughter, and springtime vibes.
Students will receive supply list upon registration.

Principles of Street Rodding II

Learn the principles of building a safe street rod. Whether you are a beginner or someone with experience looking for ideas, this is the class for you. A 1939 Chevy Coupe and a 1931 Model A Ford Coupe will be used for demonstration. Information covered in this class will include how to select the right project (what to look for and what to avoid), the paperwork involved from taxes to titles and certificates of origin, chassis and suspension options and selections, engine and transmission choices, selecting the right brakes and wheel/tire combinations. This class will also focus on the body of the car with hands-on instruction. Participants should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and should bring safety glasses and welding glasses or hood. This course is designed for those 16 years of age and older. (Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.) Register for one or both sections—each section will provide new hands-on experiences.
