Step aboard a piece of living history as the USS LST 325 docks in Cape Girardeau! This World War II-era land ship tank (LST) is one of the last operational vessels of its kind, famously used to transport troops, vehicles, and supplies directly onto enemy beaches.
Visitors will have the chance to explore the ship’s decks, see original equipment, and hear the incredible stories of the brave sailors who served aboard. This rare tour opportunity offers a powerful glimpse into the past, honoring the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom. Hunter Safety

The hunter safety course is taught entirely in-person. Students will receive a lifetime hunter safety education student card upon successful course completion. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1980, is required to complete a hunter safety education course before purchasing an Illinois hunting license. Course includes hunter responsibility and ethics, safe firearm handling, firearm and ammunition identification, zones of fire, tree stand safety, rules and regulations, and more. Students must pass a 50-question multiple choice test with a score of 80% or better and display the necessary maturity to hunt independently to receive an Illinois hunter safety education student card. Students under the age of 10 must be accompanied to and during the course by an adult or guardian that is at least 16 years old. Pre-registration is required due to limited space. Students must also register at www.dnr.illinois.gov/safety/huntersafety.html
